This 2025, the number of participating committees is increasing compared to the previous year, as well as the financial endowment of the prize, reflecting both our commitment and that of the council to more accessible festivities.
Accesit Inclusivo awards the prize for the most inclusive falla in Burriana for the second consecutive year. In 2025, the number of participating fallas has increased, “which reflects the commitment and hard work of the committees, both in promoting universal accessibility and in ensuring that the festivities are inclusive,” says Accesit Inclusivo’s CEO, Javier Sales. The new banner will be awarded alongside the rest of the prizes on 16 March and has received an increased financial endowment.
This distinction recognises the progress made by fallas to ensure that everyone, both young and old, can enjoy their monuments. For example, by adding QR code signs, critiques in dyslexia-friendly fonts, and accessible entrances for people with disabilities, among other initiatives. Sales expressed his gratitude to the falleros and falleras of the city, stating that “each of these steps is a spark that helps spread universal accessibility across the entire festival” and shared his delight at the positive reception of this initiative, which arose from the company’s commitment to taking inclusion beyond accessible websites. The winners in 2024 were the Barri d’Onda falla for its children’s monument and Don Bosco for its main monument.
Meanwhile, the Councillor for Fallas and President of the Local Fallas Board, Paloma Boix, has thanked “the company’s social commitment, which for the second consecutive year has sponsored and contributed to more inclusive festivities, giving visibility to a very important part of Burriana’s society.”
